Third Annual Northline Commons Cinco de Mayo Celebration set for Saturday, May 5

For the third year in a row, Northline Commons will become the centerpiece of Cinco de Mayo celebrations for Houston's Northside with its Cinco de Mayo Celebration Saturday, May 5th.

From 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., thousands of shoppers will be able to take part in the festivities for free in the central portion of the northside's largest shopping area. The event features more than 50 exhibitors, live entertainment and activities for kid and families alike.

This year's celebration of Hispanic culture is presented by Northline Commons, LULAC, the Greater Northside Management District, and Neighborhood Centers, Inc.

Live Entertainment

The popular Houston group Mango Punch will entertain the crowds from the main stage. Mango Punch has been voted the best Latin band six times by the Houston Press. They've also performed at the Super Bowl pre-game show and at the inaugurations of Mayor Bill White and Mayor Annise Parker.

Latin radio music legend DJ Jumpin Jess will also be part of the fun, bringing three decades of music experience with him!

From 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., kids will play games and activites with the Radio Disney Road Crew from Radio Disney AM 1590.

The Northline Commons Cinco de Mayo Celebration is proudly sponsored by Houston Area Community Services, Capital One Bank, and Chick-fil-A.
