About Neighborhood Centers, Inc.

Founded in 1907, Neighborhood Centers Inc. provides resources to more than 250,000 clients annually throughout a 67-county region in central and southeast Texas. We build vibrant communities with center-based programming to improve education, health, housing, economic opportunity, infrastructure, and connection – the six components of healthy, vibrant neighborhoods.

NCI's work can be seen in six community centers, 22 senior centers, and numerous Neighborhood Tax Centers; at citizenship forums, health fairs, and education rallies; and in a range of programming that includes financial management classes, child development initiatives, and leadership training.

Building upon existing strengths and assets, NCI ‘moves the needle’ on educational attainment, community engagement, and financial well-being in each neighborhood where we work, so our neighbors can THRIVE.
